How do I get a quote?
You end up with a written scope and a real number for the work on your property. Call 601-724-4282 for roofing or 601-724-4647 for pools, or request a free quote. Taylor in the Flowood office calls you back, sets a site visit when one is needed, and after we see the job you get an itemized quote. You approve every dollar before it becomes a bill.
Who does the work?
Roofing is Dickerson Contracting and pools are DC Pools & Spas, same family ownership. Jacob or Jordan runs every job with a superintendent on site. Roofing is built by one of the two crews we have trusted for over nine years, and the pool crew is ours from dig to startup. Either way, one standard and no chain of strangers.
Are you licensed in Mississippi?
Yes. Dickerson Contracting LLC is licensed through the Mississippi State Board of Contractors, license 25203-MC. We carry insurance, hold an A+ BBB rating accredited since 2018, and work out of 721 Liberty Rd in Flowood.
What happens after I call?
Taylor answers or calls you back. You talk through the roof, the pool, or both. We schedule a site visit when the job needs one. After that visit you get a written, itemized quote and a schedule that accounts for weather and materials. Prefer the form first? Same outcome once we reach you.

Is pool financing available?
Pool financing is available through Lyon Financial for qualified homeowners. Start with a written project quote so the amount matches the install.
Do you help with storm and insurance claims?
Yes. We inspect and document damage, help file the claim, meet the adjuster on site, and rebuild when the claim is approved. On a covered claim, you pay your deductible. That is it.
Do you remodel existing pools?
Our pool division focuses on new Latham fiberglass installs and outdoor living around new water. Remodel and resurfacing packages are not our product line.
Can the same crew build an outdoor kitchen?
Yes. Outdoor kitchens, patios, pergolas and fire features are built by the same company, with or without a pool.

Are you licensed roofing contractors in Mississippi?
Yes. Dickerson Contracting is licensed through the Mississippi State Board of Contractors, insured, and based at 721 Liberty Rd in Flowood. We are BBB accredited and 5 star rated across 100+ Google reviews.
What areas do you cover?

What warranty comes with a new roof?
Two separate things. The manufacturer warrants the materials, and that paperwork comes from them and matches exactly what we installed. Our side is the workmanship, and our guarantee is the one we can always keep: we do what we say we will. We set expectations up front instead of over-promising.
Do you replace and repair residential roofs?
Yes. Full residential re-roofs and targeted repairs are both part of the residential and repair service lines. We specify the system your roof needs, write the scope, and finish with a clean jobsite.
Can you help after hail or wind damage?
Yes. We document storm damage, meet adjusters when needed, and rebuild when the claim is approved. On a covered claim, you pay your deductible. That is it.
Do you install metal and commercial roofs?
Yes. Standing seam and other metal systems for homes and buildings, plus commercial EPDM, TPO and PVC, including flat and low-slope work.
How do quotes work?
You get a written, itemized quote with an agreed-to price after we see the roof. You approve every dollar before it becomes a bill.

What warranty comes with a residential roof?
The manufacturer warrants the materials, and that paperwork comes from them and matches exactly what we installed. Our side is the workmanship. Our guarantee is the one we can always keep: we do what we say we will, and we set expectations up front rather than over-promising.
How long does a residential roof replacement take?
Most full replacements on typical metro homes finish in a few days of weather-friendly work after materials are staged. Steep, complex or multi-layer roofs take longer. You get a start window and a crew contact before tear-off begins.
Will you repair instead of replace when that is smarter?
Yes. If the surrounding roof is sound and the problem is localized, we quote repair. If stacked repairs will not protect the house, we say so and quote a full residential roof system with a written scope.
Do you tear off old shingles or install over them?
We tear off to the bare deck, every time. That is how we see and fix soft wood, and it means your underlayment and flashings are new, not layered over a failing system. We do not install over old shingles.

What commercial roofing systems do you install?
We work with TPO, EPDM and PVC systems selected for the deck, drainage, rooftop equipment and warranty path. Insulation, cover board and edge metal are part of the same scope.
Can you work on occupied buildings?
Yes. We plan staging, phasing and fall protection around tenants and staff. After-hours or weekend work can be scheduled when the building requires it.
Do you repair commercial roofs or only replace them?
Both. Seam, flashing and drain repairs are common when the field is still sound. We recommend full replacement when moisture in the assembly or overall wear makes repairs a short delay, not a real fix.
Can you coordinate with HVAC or other rooftop trades?
Yes. Sequencing curbs, units and membrane work avoids leaks designed into the project. Tell us who else is on the roof before we mobilize.
Flat and Low-Slope Visit the page
What causes most flat roof leaks?
Failed flashings at walls and equipment, open seams, clogged drains and ponding water are the usual causes. The field membrane can look fine while a curb or parapet detail is the real entry point.
Can you repair TPO, EPDM and PVC roofs?
Yes. We use methods and materials compatible with each membrane. Older built-up and modified systems are assessed case by case.
Is coating a good flat roof repair?
Coatings can help certain sound roofs as maintenance, but they are not a fix for wet insulation, open flashings or widespread membrane failure. We will say when a coating is appropriate and when it is not.
How long does flat roof repair take?
Small flashing or seam repairs can finish in a day of good weather. Larger areas, drain rebuilds or phased commercial work take longer. You get a schedule with the written scope.
Can you work around rooftop HVAC units?
Yes. We detail curbs and flashings and can coordinate with mechanical contractors when units are being replaced at the same time.

Is metal always better than shingles?
No. Metal often costs more up front and suits some roof shapes and goals better than others. We will recommend asphalt residential roofing when it is the better value for your house and plans.
Will a metal roof be loud in the rain?
Noise depends on attic space, insulation and underlayment. Cathedral ceilings transmit more sound. We set expectations honestly and choose assembly details that reduce noise where possible.
Can you repair an existing metal roof?
Often yes for flashings, penetrations and limited panel damage. Widespread fastener or seam failure may call for a larger scope. Roof repair visits diagnose which path fits.
How long does a metal roof install take?
Simple roofs can finish in a short weather-friendly window once materials arrive. Complex cuts, custom colors and multi-story access take longer. Your written schedule follows the quote.

Can you repair a roof leak the same week?
Often yes, depending on weather and schedule. Active interior leaks get priority. Call 601-724-4282 for the next available slot in your city.
Do you repair metal and flat roofs as well as shingles?
Yes. Steep-slope shingle, metal and many flat or low-slope commercial assemblies are in scope for our crews.
When is replacement better than roof repair?
When the deck, underlayment or overall wear means repairs will stack faster than a planned system replacement. We will tell you which path protects the building longer and quote residential roofing when a full system is needed.
Will the repair match my existing shingles?
We match as closely as product lines and sun fade allow. Older roofs may show a visible difference on new tabs until weathering blends them. We set that expectation before work starts.
Storm and Insurance Claims Visit the page
Will you meet my insurance adjuster?
Yes, when scheduled. We bring findings and photos so the conversation stays on the roof, not on guesswork.
Do you charge for storm inspections?
Ask the office when you call. Many storm inspections are free evaluations. Complex commercial scopes may differ.
What if my claim is denied?
We still show you what the roof needs and quote it. You can pay out of pocket, appeal with better documentation, or phase the work over time. A denial does not mean the roof is fine, and it does not mean we stop being useful to you.
Should I file a claim at all?
Only if the damage clearly exceeds your deductible. We will give you an honest read on that before you call anyone, because a claim on damage that does not clear your deductible helps nobody and still goes on your history.
Why does my contractor need to be at the adjuster meeting?
So the same slopes get looked at once, together, with the photo report in hand. Damage missed at that meeting is the most common reason a homeowner ends up approved for a patch when the roof needs a system.
Why do I get two checks?
Most policies pay the Actual Cash Value first, holding back your deductible and the depreciation. Once the work is finished and invoiced, the depreciation is released as a second check. The gap between them is not a shortfall, it is timing.
Can you tarp after storm damage?
When access and safety allow, we can help stabilize the building until permanent repairs are scheduled.
How fast should I call after hail?
As soon as it is safe. Early inspection documents damage before repairs by others or further weather confuse the file, and it helps you get in line while storm volume is high.
Who actually builds the roof after a storm?
Our regular crews, run by an owner and a superintendent, to the manufacturer standards for whatever system the claim covers. Other products follow their own warranty paths.

Are you pool builders or just a retailer?
We are installers. DC Pools & Spas is the Dickerson family pool division. We dig, set, plumb, deck and start up genuine Latham fiberglass pools. There is no retail counter and no water-testing shop.
What pool companies near me actually self-perform the work?
Many companies sell a shell and hand the yard to a chain of subs. We keep dig, set, plumbing, deck and startup under the same crew standards that built the Dickerson roofing name.
How many Latham models can I choose from?
We present 65 fiberglass shell styles from the Latham line we install, from compact plunges to large family rectangles. We match model to yard after a site visit.
Do you install spas and tanning ledges?
Yes. Latham fiberglass spas (classic or spillover) and tanning ledges molded into shells that offer them. See spas and tanning ledges for those product paths.
Can I finance a pool?
Pool financing is available through Lyon Financial for qualified homeowners. Apply against a written install quote so funding and schedule stay aligned. See the financing page for how to begin.

Our focus is new Latham fiberglass installs, spas and outdoor living around new water. Remodel and resurfacing work is not our product line.
Can the same crew build an outdoor kitchen?
Yes. Outdoor kitchens, patios, pergolas, fire features and related hardscape are built by the same company on one schedule, with or without a pool.
How long does a fiberglass pool install take?
Once your Mississippi city or county permit is clear and the shell is scheduled, active on-site work is often weeks rather than a multi-month concrete cure cycle. Total calendar still includes permitting, shell lead time, weather and access. You get a schedule with the quote and updates when clay or storms move it.
What fence or barrier does Mississippi require for a pool?
Metro cities and counties generally enforce IRC-style residential pool barriers: typically a fence at least 48 inches high, self-closing and self-latching gates (usually swinging away from the pool), and openings small enough that a small child cannot slip through. Where the house is part of the barrier, door alarms or similar protection are often required. Exact setbacks and details follow the building department for your address, plus any HOA rules, and we include that in the permit package.

Do you install genuine Latham fiberglass pools?
Yes. DC Pools & Spas is an authorized Latham builder. We install factory molded Latham shells start to finish across central Mississippi.
Which shell styles do you show on this line?
We present 65 fiberglass shell styles: rectangles, freeforms, plunge and kidney shapes. Depths and gallons sit in the dimension table below. The right model is the one that fits access, setbacks and how you swim.
How deep are fiberglass pools?
Published shallow ends run roughly 3 feet 0 inches to 4 feet 10 inches. Deep ends run roughly 4 feet 0 inches to 8 feet 6 inches, with Synergy Grand among the deepest at about 8.5 feet. Exact depths are model specific on the dealer sheet and in the dimension table below.
Can I add a tanning ledge later?
Not on a fiberglass shell. Ledges are molded into select models, so you choose the ledge with the pool. About 14 models offer a ledge option.
Do you install vinyl plunge pools?
No. Plunge options we install (Milan and Enchantment) are fiberglass only. We do not sell a vinyl plunge line.
What finish colors can I choose?
Factory Crystite Crystal and Classic lines cover colors such as Sapphire Blue, Ocean Blue, Night Sky, Shale Gray, Coastal Bronze and Pearl or Whisper White. Finish is chosen with the model, not as field plaster later.
Which cities do you serve for fiberglass installs?
Brandon, Flowood, Jackson, Madison, Pearl, Ridgeland, Clinton and Vicksburg, working out of our Flowood shop. Call if you are near the edge of that list.
Can I finance a fiberglass pool?

Inground Pools Visit the page
Are your inground pools fiberglass?
Yes. Our install focus is Latham fiberglass inground pools, excavated and set by our own crew. Styles live on the fiberglass page.
Do you build gunite or above-ground pools?
No. This division installs new inground Latham fiberglass. If you only want poured concrete, ask the office. Above-ground kits are not in our product line.
How long does an inground install take?
It depends on shell lead time, weather, access and deck scope. You get a schedule with the quote, and we update you when weather or materials move it.
What fence does Mississippi require around an inground pool?
Local departments generally enforce IRC-style barriers: typically a fence at least 48 inches high, self-closing and self-latching gates, and openings that keep small children out. We confirm city/county and HOA rules for your address in the permit package.

What Latham spa styles do you install?
Regal, Royal and Shasta fiberglass spas, each in classic or spillover. Freeform, rectangular and compact circular shapes. Fiberglass spa shells only.
What is a spillover spa?
A spa set slightly above the pool so water cascades into the main pool. It is the resort look most people picture when they want a spa with the pool.
Can a spa work year-round in Mississippi?
Yes. Heated and covered spa water is usable in shoulder seasons and winter when an unheated pool sits idle.
Do I need special electrical?
Spas need dedicated power for heat and circulation. We check your panel on the site visit so any upgrade is in the quote.
Pool Tanning Ledges Visit the page
What is pool tanning on a fiberglass pool?
It is time spent on a broad, shallow shelf molded into the shallow end, usually around six to twelve inches of water, sized for loungers so you can sit or lie half in the water. Trade names include tanning ledge, sun shelf and Baja shelf.
How deep should a tanning ledge be?
Around six to ten inches keeps furniture stable and water warm. Closer to twelve inches cools better for sitting adults but is less stable for loungers. Many Latham molded ledges run near 10 inches. Confirm the model sheet.
Can a tanning ledge be added to an existing pool?
Not to a fiberglass shell that was not molded with one. The ledge is part of the structure, so it has to be chosen with the pool model on a new install.
Is it safe for small children?
It is the safest water in the pool when fencing, supervision and other safety layers are already in place: a few inches of water in full view next to an adult. It is not a substitute for those layers.
Can I put an umbrella in it?
Yes, if you specify an umbrella sleeve when you choose the model. Shade is what makes a ledge usable in the middle of a Mississippi afternoon.
Does a tanning ledge cost extra?
It is part of the shell. What moves the price is the model, the deck around it, and any umbrella or furniture provision.
How many Latham models offer a ledge?
About 14 models in the line we sell carry a tanning ledge option. We filter those against your yard access and setbacks on the site visit.
Do you remodel pools to add a sun shelf?
No. Our pool division focuses on new Latham fiberglass installs. We do not sell remodel or resurfacing packages to add a shelf later.

Pool financing is available through Lyon Financial for qualified homeowners. We coordinate the project amount with your quote.
Do I need a quote before applying?
Yes, a project scope helps. Start with a free pool quote so the financing conversation matches the install instead of a guess.
Can financing cover outdoor kitchen or deck add-ons?
Often yes when those items are written into the same project quote. Ask when you price the job so the financed amount includes what you actually want built in year one.
Does financing change the install quality?
No. Payment method does not change crew, sequence or standards. You are still buying a written scope of work from our install team.
What credit is required?
Approval and terms depend on Lyon Financial underwriting. We do not publish guaranteed rates or scores because those decisions belong to the lender.
Can I finance a spa?
Ask when you quote. Latham fiberglass spa projects can be financed for qualified buyers when structured through the same Lyon Financial path and a written install scope.
Is Lyon financing only for new pool installs?
Lyon Financial is the path we use for qualified DC Pools & Spas projects: Latham fiberglass pools, spas and related backyard work on a written install quote. Ask the office when you request a pool quote.
