A Latham fiberglass spa is a factory-built soak vessel that sits in the ground alone or spills into a matching pool. Classic and spillover versions of Regal, Royal and Shasta cover freeform, rectangular and compact circular styles.
A spillover spa cascades into the adjoining pool, the resort look most people picture when they want a spa with the pool. A classic spa stands alone as its own heated soak.
The same crew that sets our fiberglass pools out of Flowood sets the spa. New installs and fiberglass spa shells only.
We set expectations up front and we do not over-promise. You approve every dollar before it becomes a bill.

Latham spa styles
Regal, Royal and Shasta Spas, Classic or Spillover
Regal is freeform with sculpted curves and tiered steps, Royal is rectangular with clean lines, and Shasta is the compact circular option. Published outer dimensions run roughly 7 to 10 feet, with depths around 3 to 3.3 feet, capacities near 420 to 600 gallons and seating for four to six adults, depending on the shell. Confirm the current dealer sheet. Renders show style only; yard fit, elevation and equipment pad are confirmed on the site visit.

Spillover Height, Deck and Outdoor Living
A spillover spa needs correct elevation so water sheets into the pool the way the design intends. That is a site plan detail.
Deck width around the spa decides whether people actually use the seats, so plan furniture and towel space with the pour. A spa set into a deck next to an outdoor kitchen is one project on one schedule.
Easy steps, rails, lighting and a cover you will actually close every night matter more in January than a gadget you use twice.
Spa vs Full Pool vs Built-In Spa Shell
A full pool is for kids, guests and open water. A standalone or spillover spa is for soak, heat and a smaller footprint. Some Latham pool shells (Astoria, Deluxe lines) include a built-in spa zone in the mold, shown below.
Choose spillover or classic on purpose; it changes plumbing, elevation and deck layout.
If the backyard is for kids and gatherings, start with an inground pool and add a spa when budget and site support both. If the habit is soak and heat, lead with the spa.
Siting, Power and What the Install Needs
A fiberglass spa is heavy in use, so an in-ground shell needs a properly engineered base and backfill. Central Mississippi soil moves with moisture, and a shell on shifting ground shows it in level and plumbing stress.
It also needs real electrical for heat and circulation. We check your panel on the site visit, and sometimes a panel upgrade is part of the job.
The shell arrives as one large piece, so we measure gates, corners, overhead lines and tree canopy before anything is ordered.
Drainage around the pad, planned with the hardscape, keeps it from becoming a permanent mud zone after summer storms.
Running Costs, Covers and Chemistry
Heated and covered, the running cost is dominated by how well the cover seals. A quality insulated cover earns its keep.
The small water volume balances quickly but forgives neglect less. Skip it for two weeks in August and you will notice faster than in a 15,000-gallon shell.
We start the chemistry, run the system with you and explain it before handover. Upkeep is a weekly habit measured in minutes.
