Pool Builders Serving Brandon, MS
Brandon is inside the tight radius where DC Pools & Spas does its own excavation, crane set and deck pour rather than subbing any of it out. The shop is minutes away, so the same crew is on site start to finish.
DC Pools & Spas is the pool division of Dickerson Contracting, run out of the same building at 721 Liberty Rd in Flowood with the same crew. We install genuine Latham fiberglass pools start to finish: excavation, base prep, crane set, plumbing and deck.
That matters more than it sounds. On a lot of pool jobs the excavation, the shell set and the concrete are three different subcontractors with three different standards. Here it is one crew and one point of contact from the first dig to the day you swim.
We built the Dickerson name on word of mouth. The pool division runs on the same habits: expectations set up front, no over-promising, and a quote that matches the bill.

Why Fiberglass Works in Rankin County
Central Mississippi soil moves. It swells when it is wet and shrinks when it is not, and that cycle is hard on a rigid structure. A fiberglass shell is a single molded piece with some flex in it, which handles that movement better than a jointed assembly does.
Fiberglass also holds far less algae than a porous surface, so the chemical load and the weekly maintenance are both lower through a Mississippi summer. That is the part people notice in year two rather than year one.
Pool Services in Brandon
Start with the service that matches what you are planning: Fiberglass Pool Installation in Brandon or Inground Pools in Brandon.
Financing is available through Lyon Financial, and it is worth sorting before the build starts rather than midway through. See pool financing for how that works.
We do not install concrete or vinyl. Our crew is set up to do fiberglass properly, and doing one thing to a fixed standard beats offering three methods at an average level.
Local Notes for Brandon
The Ross Barnett Reservoir sits immediately north of Brandon. Reservoir-side lots often carry more wind exposure and tighter setback or HOA conversations than the same house a few miles inland, which matters for shell orientation, fencing and covers.
We work regularly around Ross Barnett Reservoir, Brandon City Park and Shiloh Park. Access matters on a pool job: the crane needs a clear path to the backyard, and we check that on the site visit.
Permitting and setback rules vary between the municipalities in this metro, and a pool is not a structure you want to move after the fact. We handle that paperwork as part of the build.
What the Site Visit Actually Covers
Access first. The excavator has to get in, the crane has to reach, and several tons of spoil has to go somewhere. A backyard that looks open from the patio door can be unreachable once you account for a fence line, a septic field or a neighbor's tree canopy, and finding that out on install day is expensive for everyone.
Then levels and drainage. Where the water sits relative to the house matters, and so does where the rain goes once you have replaced lawn with deck. We would rather solve that with grading and a drain in the plan than with a pump in year two.
Finally the surround: how much deck, what material, and what else you want out there eventually. Even if the kitchen or the pergola is a later phase, it is cheaper to run the conduit and the gas line while the ground is already open.
One Crew From Dig to Startup
The pool is usually not the whole project. Decking, patios, outdoor kitchens, pergolas, lighting, fencing and fire features all come from the same company, which means one schedule instead of four and nobody blaming the other trade.
We install across the Jackson metro from the Flowood shop at 721 Liberty Rd.

Common questions
Do you install pools in Brandon?
Yes. Brandon is inside the radius DC Pools & Spas services with our own crew rather than subcontracting the work out.
How long does a fiberglass pool install take?
It varies with access, weather and what you are building around the pool. We give you a schedule with the quote rather than a guess on the phone, and we tell you when weather has moved it.
Do you build concrete or vinyl pools too?
We install Latham fiberglass. It is what our crew is set up to do properly, and doing one thing well beats offering three methods.
Is financing available?
Yes, through Lyon Financial. It is worth getting sorted before the build starts. See our pool financing page for details.
